ST. PETERSBURG — Now that a cold front — which spawned a weak tornado in Ruskin — has departed, it leaves behind pleasant conditions across Tampa Bay.
Relatively cool temperatures, clearing skies and low humidity will take hold until Friday, according to the National Weather Service.
After a comfortably cool morning, highs on Wednesday will inch just past 80 under mostly sunny skies and drier air.
Lows will fall into the upper 50s to low 60s.
Similar conditions are expected on Thursday, but a weak cold front will approach from the north on Friday, bringing added moisture to the air and an enhanced possibility of rain.
There is a 20 percent chance of an isolated shower by the afternoon and into the evening, with highs in the low 80s.
The rain will clear on Saturday, with mostly sunny skies and gradual warming into the mid 80s by Sunday and into next week.
