Folks around Tampa Bay won’t have many excuses to stay indoors this weekend.
It’s going to be a bright weekend with sparse cloud cover, resonably comfortable temperatures and plenty of sunshine, according to the National Weather Service.
Temperatures on Thursday morning will start in the upper 60s and, as the sun rises, highs will rise up to the lower 80s, forecasters said. Low humidity and mostly sunny skies should provide an enjoyably warm spring day.
By Thursday evening, cloud cover will increase as another cold front begins to approach the bay. At that time the front will be traveling over the Florida panhandle and reach Tampa Bay by Friday morning.
As the cold front passes, it will increase the rain chance but only to about 20 percent, forecasters said. The storms will be light, isolated and should clear by Friday evening. Temperatures will resemble Thursday’s, with early-morning lows in the upper 60s and a warm afternoon in the lower 80s.
The cold front will be completely clear by the beginning of the weekend. Both Saturday and Sunday are predicted to be mostly sunny, leaving an ideal weekend to make outdoor plans. Saturday’s highs will be in the lower 80s, rising to the mid-80s on Sunday with plenbty of sunshine.
The warmer temperatures will continue throughout the beginning of next week with highs in the mid 80s.
