TAMPA — Today’s storms are causing delays at Tampa International Airport.
"Weather across the state is causing delays in and out of Tampa International Airport," the airport tweeted this afternoon. Early in the afternoon, the airport said the Federal Aviation Administration "placed a ground stop for all arriving and departing aircraft."
About 3:30 p.m., the airport sent out an update: "Flights are landing and departing from Tampa International Airport, but we continue to see weather-related delays. So far, we’ve seen 124 delays and 4 cancellations."
So the bottom line still holds:
"Please check with your airline before coming to TPA," the airport said.
