Heisman watch: Ohio State’s Dwayne Haskins joins the mix

5. Ohio State QB Dwayne Haskins: Putting up 352 yards of offense on TCU is enough to join the top five.

4. Houston DL Ed Oliver: Leads all active players with 1.57 tackles for a loss per game and should pad that stat against poor Texas Southern.

3. West Virginia QB Will Grier: Kansas State is always tricky, so he'll need a big game to lead the No. 12 Mountaineers.

2. Oklahoma QB Kyler Murray: It's early, but he already has better stats than Heisman winners Baker Mayfield, Sam Bradford and Jason White did at this stage of their Sooners careers.

1. Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa: On third down, he's 13-of-13 passing for 298 yards, six touchdowns and a 444.86 rating and converted on all three of his rushes. Ridiculous.
