Troopers: Husband, wife killed after car goes into Pasco pond
HOLIDAY - A husband and wife, both in their 80s, were killed today after their car went into a Pasco County pond, troopers said. The victims were identified as Samuel David Stucky, 88, and Mary Wright Stucky, 85, both of Holiday. Mary Stucky was driving a 2012 Ford Fusion south on Courtney Drive about 11 a.m. when the car struck a curb at a dead end, went airborne, overturned and landed upside down in the pond, the Florida Highway Patrol said. Mary Stucky was pulled from the car, which was submerged in about 6 feet of water. She was pronounced dead at Community Hospital New Port Richey.Her husband's body was found inside the vehicle when it was removed from the pond, troopers said. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
