BROOKSVILLE — A shooter was on the loose Tuesday night after injuring three victims, according to Hernando Sheriff Al Nienhuis.
The sheriff would not say if there were any fatalities.
The Sheriff’s Office received a report about the at about 9 p.m. Deputies flooded the area.
By 10:15 p.m., officials said the shooter was barricaded inside a home that was possibly vacant. SWAT deputies were called in to assist.
The standoff continued as of 11 p.m.
No one involved in Tuesday night’s shooting was identified. No other details were released by the Sheriff’s Office.
