Next phase for the Tampa Armature Works: co-working office space

TAMPA — The mixed-use rebirth of the old Tampa Armature Works warehouse is proceeding in stages. First up: last month’s debut of the new ballroom, followed closely by the opening of more than a dozen vendors in the Heights Public Market food hall.

YEARS IN THE MAKING: The transformation of the Armature Works in Tampa

Coming soon: Bay 3, an 11,000-square-foot space with views of the Hillsborough River on the second floor of the Armature Works.

When it opens in mid-April, Bay 3 will have 28 private offices, five conference rooms, an on-site receptionist and notary, plus common areas (think private phone booths, lounge seating and a kitchen), as well as video conferencing, mail and package handling, secure high-speed Internet and printing stations.

Memberships start at $175 a month for use of available desks in the common work area. Dedicated desks start at $400 a month, and private offices will go for $699 to $1,999 a month. Bay 3’s market includes freelancers, startups and out-of-town business professionals who might need "adaptable office space solutions that can expand or shrink based on demand," the Armature Works’ Taryn Bruck said.

The 73,000-square-foot project at 1910 N Ola Ave. is the work of Adam Harden and Chas Bruck from the Tampa private equity firm SoHo Capital.
