Culver’s restaurant, a Wisconsin-based eatery, is opening more locations in Florida. The chain, known for its hamburgers and frozen custard, is expanding to St. Petersburg and Zephyrhills. A franchise agreement has also been signed for Brooksville. Culver’s moved into Florida in 2013.
"We were basically following our guests," said Dave O’Brien, director of real estate for Culver’s.
The St. Petersburg restaurant — located at 1451 34th St. N. — is scheduled to open in late March, while the Zephyrhills franchise will open by early May. Culver’s has just fewer than 25 locations in Tampa Bay and Sarasota, and 45 in the state.
