Olive Tree branches out to Wesley Chapel

WESLEY CHAPEL — When it came time to open a second location of The Olive Tree, owners John and Donna Woelfel, decided that Wesley Chapel was the perfect place.

"We just knew that was where we needed to be because the growth will be huge," said Donna Woelfel.

Four years ago, the husband and wife team opened The Olive Tree in West Park Village in Westchase, and they recently opened up The Olive Tree II in The Shoppes of Wesley Chapel.

Both stores feature "Ultra Premium" extra virgin olive oils (EVOO), infused and fused olive oils, gourmet oils, and balsamic vinegars.

Customers are invited to taste the products while they shop, and the Woelfels and their knowledgeable staff are always happy to answer questions and provide information about their products.

"Our reputation is all about education and really exceptional customer service," said Donna Woelfel. "We freshly pour every single bottle, cork it, and hot seal it."

The EVOOs are sourced from all over the world, rotating between countries in the Northern and Southern Hemispheres, in order to provide the freshest oils.

Infused oils are made in small batches and contain olive oil with added flavors. Fused oils are made by crushing the olives and the actual fruit or vegetable at the same time. Besides adding flavor to food, olive oil provides many health benefits.

The store also features a market filled with gourmet jellies, jams, jarred olives, pasta from Italy, and sea salts and seasonings.

Gift baskets and holiday baskets are available. Soon, the store will offer an antipasto bar, packaged cheeses, dried meats, and fine wines from Italy.

Cooking and food demonstrations are held monthly, and the store is available for private parties.

The Olive Tree II is located at 2653 Bruce B. Downs Blvd. For more information, call (813) 991-8781, or visit theolivetreestore.com.
