It's another Symphony in Lights season at Wiregrass

The Shops at Wiregrass will commemorate its 10th anniversary with the public this weekend starting at 5 p.m. on Saturday (Nov 10), of its Symphony in Lights Tree Lighting and Santa's Arrival.

The annual event features twinkling lights set to music of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, elaborate decorations, ice skating and even falling snow.

Celebration festivities includes live music by Late Night Brass, stilt walkers, costumed characters, face painting, balloon artists, holiday carolers and tenth anniversary cakes from Nothing Bundt Cakes.

Symphony in Lights features two unique shows. One presenting the Trans-Siberian Orchestra at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m., and a second show featuring holiday favorites along with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.

New this year is the Wiregrass Express train, which will transport Santa starting at 6 p.m. Jolly St. Nick also is available for pictures at 7 p.m. The new express train has a real steam engine, LED wheels and an ADA accessible caboose.

Following the annual Tree Lighting and Symphony in Lights premiere, there will be fireworks and throughout the day guests can partake in holiday shopping at the Shops at Wiregrass' many shops and boutiques.

Guests that arrive between 2 and 4 p.m. have the opportunity to encounter the Secret Santa featuring an unexpected giveaway.

"We are proud to bring so many people together during the holiday season for the past ten years," said Shops at Wiregrass general manager Greg Lenners in a prepared statement.

"We've been able to provide an amazing gathering place for the community and are excited to continue this tradition"

After Saturday, Symphony in Lights shows will run nightly through Dec. 31, every hour so guests can enjoy the lights, sounds and snow throughout the holidays.
