Spectrumís new all-digital service is set to bring more high definition, faster internet speeds and expanded on-demand offerings ó but it also comes with higher costs for some of its TV customers in Tampa Bay.

Pride weekend kicks off in St. Petersburg today with a free concert hosted by a RuPaulís Drag Race star, a parade along the downtown waterfront on Saturday and an expanded expo of vendors and art on Sunday in the Grand Central District that gave birth to what is billed as the largest Pride celebration in Florida. There are also dozens of parties and art shows before and after the official Pride events during a weekend expected to draw more than 200,000 people to celebrate LGBTQ Pride.

PINELLAS SHERIFF BOB GUALTIERI DENOUNCES FAMILY SEPARATION AT BORDER, BLAMES CONGRESS FOR INACTION

Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri this week denounced the federal governmentís practice of separating children from their families at the border as "devastating" while calling on Congress to pass laws to slow the flow of undocumented immigrants entering the United States. He was the only one of Tampa Bayís four top law enforcement officials, all Republicans, who responded to a request for comment on the issue, which is dominating the national conversation and sparking outcry from local, state and federal elected officials.

DEADLY SUNDAY FOR SWIMMERS IN BAY AREA WATERS

Two people drowned and another suffered life-threatening injuries in the waters of Tampa Bay and the Gulf of Mexico on Sunday.

Investigators said all three cases appear to be accidents, but the incidents stand as a reminder that summer, with vacation in full swing and families flocking to the beach to cool off and enjoy the warm water, comes with a spike in the rate of drownings.
