Jingle Ball lineup: Shawn Mendes, Marshmello, Khalid, more coming to Tampa’s Amalie Arena

If you've gotten a tad weary of seeing a lot of the same performers play the 93.3-FLZ Jingle Ball year after year, the station has some good news.

A slate of mostly fresher faces leads the just-announced lineup for Tampa's 10th Jingle Ball, scheduled for Dec. 15 at Amalie Arena.

At the top of the bill: Shawn Mendes, who, yes, has played Tampa's Jingle Ball in the past, but c'mon, he's SHAWN MENDES, so you can count on an arena full of adoring fans showing up just for him — even though he's already got another headlining show at Amalie Arena lined up for next summer.

Things get intriguing below Mendes, though, including Jingle Ball debuts from DJ and producer Marshmello (Wolves, Friends, Happier), Khalid (Location, Love Lies, Logic's 1-800-273-8255), Christian-ish rapper NF (Let You Down), Bebe Rexha (Florida Georgia Line's Meant to Be, G-Eazy's Me, Myself & I), singer-songwriter Bazzi (Mine). Jingle Ball alum Sabrina Carpenter will also perform.

As always, the station is bringing back its free outdoor pre-show, which this year also features three new faces: Bryce Vine (who is also expected to perform inside), Madison Beer and AJ Mitchell.

For a show that in the past has leaned heavily on repeat performances from artists like Camila Cabello (four Jingle Balls), Nick Jonas (three), Zedd (three) and Demi Lovato (three), it looks to be a nice change of pace. Even Mendes, who's on his third Jingle Ball, hasn't played the Tampa event since 2015.

"Top to bottom, it may be the best Jingle Ball lineup we've ever had," said Tommy Chuck, senior vice president of programming for iHeartMedia in Tampa.

Tampa is the 11th stop on iHeartMedia's 12-city Jingle Ball tour, which wraps up in Miami on Dec. 16. Artists playing other cities include Cardi B, Calvin Harris, 5 Seconds of Summer, G-Eazy and Alessia Cara.

Tickets to the Tampa show start at $41 and go on pre-sale to Capitol One cardholders at 10 a.m. Wedneday. They'll go on sale to 93.3-FLZ VIPs at 11 a.m. Saturday, and the general public at noon Monday. Click here for all the details.
