We've seen Jameis Winston and Mike Evans bonding this offseason, going to Texas A&M pro day together, among other events. The two Bucs stars and their significant others double-dated Thursday night, getting courtside seats to watch the Miami Heat in the playoffs against the 76ers.
Evans, who had college basketball scholarships before choosing football, is a huge Dwyane Wade fan (he got to meet him in January) and wore a Wade Heat jersey to the game. Watch the video highlights here , and it's easy to spot them on the right end of the court at the bottom.
Evans and his wife, Ashli, sat with Winston and his girlfriend, Breion Allen, who played college basketball at Rice. Winston and Allen are expecting their first child, a boy, in July.
Those courtside playoff seats, as you might imagine, aren't cheap — similar seats for Game 4 in Miami on Saturday were going for $7,500 each on Vividseats.com — that's $30,000 for four of them.
The Heat lost Thursday to fall behind 2-1 in the series with Philadelphia — Winston was playfully talking trash during the game with 76ers guard Justin Anderson, who later said he's a Winston fan.
Winston said earlier this week he called a ticket rep at Amalie Arena trying to score tickets to a Lightning home playoff game. Tampa Bay is home on Saturday afternoon and can close out its opening-round series by beating the New Jersey Devils.
The Bucs are now one week into their nine-week offseason conditioning, with OTAs next month and mandatory minicamp coming in June.
