Bucs agree to terms with Bears defensive lineman Mitch Unrein

The Bucs continued to load up on run-stuffing defensive linemen Wednesday, agreeing to terms on a three-year contract with Bears free agent Mitch Unrein.

The 3o-year-old Unrein played defensive end in the Bears 3-4 defense but will play defensive tackle for the Bucs.

Earlier in the day, Tampa Bay reached an agreement with Eagles defensive tackle Beau Allen. Pro Football Focus listed Allen as the having the highest run stop percentage of all interior linemen last season and Unrein was ranked second.

Unrein started eight of the 12 games he played for the Bears last season, recording a career-high 32 tackles and 2.5 sacks. He is expected to earn about $3.5-million per year.
