NFL to hold combine for 100 prospects at One Buc Place

The Bucs' new indoor practice facility will play host to an NFL pre-draft combine for 100 invited prospects on March 25.

The league will run the combine — intended for the best draft prospects who weren't among the 336 at the official NFL combine earlier this month in Indianapolis, as well as unsigned players not on current NFL rosters.

In past years, the NFL has run "regional combines" across the country for players who weren't invited to Indianapolis — there were no such events this year.

The league also held a "pro player combine" in Arizona in late March last year. This event at One Buc Place will serve much the same purpose — most of the players involved would be hoping to sign with teams as undrafted rookies, with a shot at a few late-round picks.

A full list of players attending should be released shortly. The Bucs built their indoor facility last summer, using it on occasion during the 2017 season. It allows the team to avoid practicing as much in the hot Florida sun in August during training camp, and can be used when rain or heavy winds force them inside.
