The Avett Brothers schedule show at USF Sun Dome

The folk trio The Avett Brothers has scheduled a concert at the USF Sun Dome for 8 p.m. March 29.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday and cost $47.75, $42.50, and $35. There might be additional fees. Tickets will be available through Ticketmaster.com, Ticketmaster outlets, by calling 800-745-3000 or at the Sun Dome box office.

The band has recently released its eighth album, “Magpie and the Dandelion,” produced by Rick Rubin and is a mix of classic homegrown folk, rock energy, bluegrass soul and pop charm.

In 2001, banjoist Scott Avett and guitarist Seth Avett formed the group with standup bass player Bob Crawford, and took its influences from Bob Dylan, Neil Young, and Crosby, Stills & Nash.

The group made mainstream waves in 2009 with its debut, “I and Love and You.” The album landed at No. 16 on the Billboard Top 200 and received critical acclaim.

Other members of the band are Paul Defiglia on keyboards, Joe Kwon on cello and Mike Marsh on drums.

All Sun Dome ticketed events will be available through charge-by-phone at 1-800-745-3000.
