Clouds streaming over the state from the Gulf of Mexico will bring up temperatures and rain chances in the Tampa Bay area today and through the weekend.
Lows this morning were in the upper 60s, about 10 degrees warmer compared with Thursday morning, News Channel 8 meteorologist Leigh Spann said.
By late morning, expect a few showers to pop up across the region, increasing to a 50 percent of rain during the afternoon and 70 percent after sundown, according to the National Weather Service.
Highs today will be in the upper 70s and lows over night in the mid-60s, the weather service said.
The Saturday forecast calls for a 50 percent chance of rain during the day. Rains chances Sunday drop to about 20 percent. Highs over the weekend will be in the mid- to upper 80s.
