Warm weather remains in effect for the Tampa Bay area today, but the sun will soon be retreating with the arrival of a cold front this weekend.
Temperatures will stay 5-10 degrees above normal, with today’s high eclipsing 80 under mostly sunny skies after some patchy early-morning fog, News Channel 8 meteorologist Leigh Spann said.
Lows will only drop to near 60, with increased humidity and more fog possible Thursday morning.
Thursday will be slightly warmer, with highs in the low-80s under partly cloudy skies.
Rain chances increase on Friday with the arrival of the cold front. Temperatures will remain warm, but the front will stall over the region, bringing chances fro spotty showers and slightly cooler temperatures.
