A typical summertime pattern returns for the start of the work week, meaning inland storms becoming more numerous and stronger in the Tampa Bay area later this afternoon.
Winds have shifted from the southeast, which is good news for the region as skies will be sunny this morning along the west coast, News Channel 8 meteorologist Leigh Spann said.
Highs today will be near 88.
Inland areas could see storms pop up early this afternoon, with higher rain chances along Interstate-75 later this afternoon, and along coastal areas tonight.
Similar conditions will remain throughout the week.
