It will continue to feel like early summer in the Tampa Bay area as a humid start leads to a warm day and good chance for afternoon thunderstorms.
It’s a muggy start this morning with temperatures in the low- to mid-70s, but with a little relief thanks to a strong easterly wind, News Channel 8 meteorologist Leigh Spann said.
Those winds will help drive afternoon thunderstorms, which will originate inland and along the east coast, toward the Tampa Bay area and the west coast later today.
Highs today will reach 90, with lows tonight in the low-70s.
Little is expected to change through the weekend.
