A chilly morning will quickly give way to a pleasant afternoon as the Tampa Bay area finally returns to more seasonal spring-like conditions.
A frost advisory is in effect for Pasco, Hernando and Citrus counties until 9 a.m. as cool, dry air blankets the region this morning, according to the National Weather Service.
Temperatures are starting out in the 30s in northern areas and in the low- to mid-40s in the Tampa area, but will climb into the low-70s this afternoon with sunny skies and a northerly breeze.
Tonight’s low will drop into the upper-40s to low-50s, but a quick warm-up takes place Saturday as winds shift from the south, driving highs to a more seasonable 77 and lows in the low- to mid-50s.
Sunday will be even warmer, with highs approaching 80s under partly cloudy skies and higher humidity.
