Thursday’s powerful line of storms has passed, leaving some isolated showers in the Tampa Bay area before skies clear, setting the stage for a dry, pleasant weekend.
Some areas may see light rain this morning, and a passing shower at noon. But this afternoon will be mostly sunny, with breezy winds out of the northwest and cool highs approaching 70, News Channel 8 meteorologist Julie Phillips said.
Tonight will be chilly, with lows in the in the mid- to upper-40s.
Saturday morning will be chilly as well, but temperatures will gradually warm throughout the weekend, with highs in the low-70s on Saturday and in the mid-70s on Sunday, under mostly sunny skies.
The warming trend continues heading into the work week.
