Showers should clear up in time for July Fourth fireworks
As we begin to celebrate the country's birthday, overnight skies will clear and temperatures will fall into the 70s across the Bay area, WFLA meteorologists say. "The 4th of July will be a typical summer day for us with slightly above average storm chances," said meteorologist Julie Phillips. "Look for lots of sunshine to start off the day with more clouds returning by the afternoon and a high near 90." There is still a good chance of afternoon and evening storms that should dissipate after sunset, clearing the way for fireworks, she said.
