The Tampa Bay area is in for a cool night tonight, with the National Weather Service expecting lows to be 10 to 20 degrees below normal.
Highs will reach only the low-70s with strong northwesterly winds today, and lows tonight will dip into the mid-40s. To make it even cooler, there will be a north wind blowing from 14 to 18 mph, gusting to 26 mph.
And watch out because Wednesday morning is going to be cold with wind chill values in the outlying areas as low as 35. The temperature will be in the 40s around Tampa by 7 a.m. Then, the day should turn sunny with a high of 64. The north wind will return during the day with gusts up to 24 mph.
Thursday will be partly sunny, with a high near 77. But, the rains return at night with an 80 percent chance of precipitation. Forecasters expect a half- to three-quarters of an inch of rain.
