WFLA-TV meteorologist Julie Phillips says Saturday’s isolated storms have tapered off, leaving overnight skies clear and the air muggy.
The above average temps the Tampa Bay area has been dealing with will continue on Sunday, she says. Sunday morning will be sunny with temperatures near 80 degrees.
Through the day temps warm quickly with a high near 93 expected. An approaching cold front from the northeast or a back door cold front will increase the moisture across the Bay area Sunday. This will allow for more afternoon storms to develop and a 50% chance of rain.
