The last of the showers associated with a cold front will push through the Tampa area from the Gulf of Mexico today, leaving clear skies, low humidity and a near-perfect weekend.
The storms that soaked the area on Thursday have largely passed, with just a line of showers expected to cross pushing south from the Gulf this morning, News Channel 8 meteorologist Leigh Spann said.
That line could produce possible isolated storms through mid-morning. Once the rain passes, though, the area will see clear skies, gusty winds shifting out of the northwest, and pleasant conditions.
Highs will only reach the high-70s today, with lows in the mid- to upper-60s.
Mostly sunny skies will prevail this weekend, with highs around 80 and lows near 60.
