Karen is no longer a tropical system, but what remains of the storm will create increased rain chances Monday around the Tampa Bay area before dry conditions prevail for the remainder of the work week.
After a clear night, rain chances will be 50 percent on Monday as a cold front, moving from the west, will push moisture associated with Karen across the Tampa Bay area, News Channel 8 meteorologist Bryan Bennett said.
The rain chances will start Monday morning with spotty coastal showers ahead of the cold front, with scattered thunderstorms in the afternoon.
Highs will be in the upper-80s, with lows in the low-70s.
Rain chances will remain low the remainder of the week as reduced humidity and lower temperatures bring more fall-like conditions to the region.
