More severe thunderstorms possible for Tampa Bay area
More severe rain could develop later this afternoon, a day after thunderstorms drenched the Tampa Bay area and spawned a waterspout in Pinellas County. The storms will drift in to the region from the east, likely starting around 2 p.m., News Channel 8 meteorologist Bryan Bennett said. Those storms should be most prevalent along I-75, last into the evening and tapering off overnight. Highs through the week will be in the low-90s, with lows in the mid- to upper-70s.According to News Channel 8, Monday night's storms spawned the waterspout near Weedon Island before 8 p.m.
