For the third day in a row, the Tampa Bay area saw record highs as high pressure brings mostly sunny skies and summer-like conditions.
Today's high of 89 degrees tied the record set in 1960. Tuesday's high of 92 surpassed the previous record of 88 set in 1994, News Channel 8 meteorologist Leigh Spann said.
Monday's high was 89 degrees.
Another hot day is forecast for Thursday, before a front moves into the area on Friday, resulting in slightly cooler temperatures and higher rain chances on Saturday.
