Southerly winds, which continue to stream in off the Gulf of Mexico, will keep conditions sticky around the Tampa Bay area. Highs will reach 90 today, but with a muggy morning to start and the heat and high humidity continuing throughout the day, News Channel 8 meteorologist Leigh Spann said. There is a 40 percent chance of rain today, more predominantly to the north. Those areas could see showers by lunchtime, with scattered downpours pushing inland this afternoon.
