Humidity will keep sticky conditions intact in Tampa area
Southerly winds, which continue to stream in off the Gulf of Mexico, will keep conditions sticky around the Tampa Bay area. Highs will reach 90 today, but with a muggy morning to start and the heat and high humidity continuing throughout the day, News Channel 8 meteorologist Leigh Spann said. There is a 40 percent chance of rain today, more predominantly to the north. Those areas could see showers by lunchtime, with scattered downpours pushing inland this afternoon. The rain will taper off tonight, and similar conditions will continue Thursday.
