After a few days of below-average temperatures, a major warm-up is on the way for Tampa Bay residents.
A cool morning today will turn into a pleasant, sunny afternoon, with highs in the mid-70s, forecasters say. Tonight’s lows will be more mild than the past few days, with lows in the 50s.
Temperatures rise Friday to highs in the upper 70s, and winter begins Saturday with afternoons in the low 80s, says News Channel 8 meteorologist Leigh Spann. Rains chances pick up on the weekend.
Spann says a cold front will pass through Central Florida on Tuesday, increasing rain opportunities but not dropping temperatures significantly. The clouds should pass by Christmas, when highs are forecast in the mid-70s.
