It’s going to be a hot, humid weekend to kick off the unofficial start of summer.
The weather will be nice for those beginning their Memorial Day weekend at the beach, with only a few, high clouds and an afternoon high of around 90 degrees on Saturday, WFLA-TV meteorologist Bryan Bennett said. Inland areas could see even slightly warmer temperatures, Bennett said.
The satellite shows a very low chance of rain across the Tampa Bay area, especially along the coast. Areas around Interstate 75 and to the east may see an isolated shower after 3 p.m., but nothing that will ruin any outdoor plans, Bennett said.
Sunday will be just as warm with highs in the low to mid 90s. Sunday afternoon there is a 20 percent chance of showers and storms, but most of the Bay area will be rain free.
