Expect partly sunny to cloudy skies across the Tampa Bay area for most of Saturday.
“Take (Friday) and make a carbon copy, and you have the weather for today,” meteorologist Bryan Bennett said.
The area should stay mostly dry until later in the evening when scattered storms will move through, starting in the east and moving west to Pinellas County and the gulf.
Scattered storms will be most likely in the area east of Interstate 75, beginning around 4 to 5 p.m. Western Hillsborough and Pinellas counties will start to see some of that rain around 8 to 9 p.m., Bennett said.
Tropical activity in the Gulf of Mexico will move to the west, and won’t be a factor locally, Bennett said.
The afternoon will be very humid with a high temperature of around 90 degrees.
