Expect another hot and humid day with a chance for scattered late-afternoon thunderstorms in the Tampa Bay area, according to the National Weather Service.
Much like Monday, storms will develop as afternoon sea breezes clash across the Florida peninsula late in the day. The storms will be isoloated, but some could be strong with lightning and hail, News Channel 8 meteorologist Leigh Spann said.
Morning lows in the 70s will rise into afternoon highs near 90 before clouds begin to roll in closer to the coast, Spann said.
Rains chances are 30 percent, the National Weather Service said.
The summer-like pattern is expected to repeat Wednesday and Thursday, with a slight uptick in rain chances each day, the weather service said.
