With the exception of some patchy morning fog, the weekend is shaping up to be a great one to get outdoors in the Tampa Bay region.
Extra moisture in the air will create the foggy conditions, News Channel 8 meteorologist Leigh Spann said. It is especially thick in northern counties, and patchier inland, and the fog will form again Saturday and possibly Sunday morning.
But once it burns off, temperatures will warm quickly under partly cloudy skies. Seasonal highs today will reach the low- to mid-80s, with lows in the mid-60s.
The next best — but small — rain chance comes next week.
