Cold front brings slight relief to Tampa area

It’s a bit cooler this morning as a weak cold front has pushed through the Tampa Bay area, but the relief from our recent warm spell will only be slight.

A cool northerly breeze is helping to create that cooler feel, and highs today will be in the upper-70s to the north and low-80s for the rest of the region under partly cloudy skies and possible isolated showers, News Channel 8 meteorologist Leigh Spann said.

Lows tonight will drop to the low-50s.

Highs on Thursday will only reach the mid-70s, but temperatures will warm again this weekend before a stronger front drops highs into the low-70s by Monday.
