A cold front is passing through the Tampa area this morning, producing clouds and light rain and slightly cooler temperatures.
The cooler air is filtering from the north, as are clouds, which will linger over the region throughout the day, News Channel 8 meteorologist Leigh Spann said.
There is a 30 percent chance for isolated showers and spotty rain today, with highs staying in the low-70s. Lows tonight will drop to the mid-50s with some showers still possible.
Some rain is possible Friday, but chances bump back up to 50 percent on Saturday as another cold front passes. That will create cooler temperatures and sunny, pleasant conditions Sunday and heading into next week.
