Expect warm weather, clear skies and a slight increase in humidity across Tampa Bay in the next few days, before an incoming cold front raises the chance for rain.
Temperatures this morning are in the low 60s with a little bit of damp air. The dry air mass that paved the way for clear skies and drier wind gusts has now moved east, according to the National Weather Service.
As the sun comes up, temperatures will rise to the low 80s with mostly sunny skies. Clouds will begin to accumulate by the evening and temperatures will sink to the upper 50s and low 60s.
Friday should see more of the same with a bit more humidity and cloud cover, forecasters said.
Folks planning weekend outings — such as the Sugar Sand Festival or Record Store Day on Saturday should bring an umbrella as small cold front drifts into the Tampa Bay.
Saturday begins with a 20 percent chance of rain with highs around 82. Rain chances increase on Sunday and reach a peak on Monday at 40 percent.
A chance of rain will continue throughout next week, forecasters said.
