Forecast: High humidity, searing temperatures and little rain across Tampa Bay
Dry air will keep rain chances down Tuesday, which could be a good or bad thing depending on your afternoon plans.
While showers will be at a minimum, the searing heat wonít be as high humidity and mostly sunny skies will push the heat index at ar near 98 degrees, according to the Nationoal Weather Service.
Actual temperatures by the afternoon will be in the upper 80s with only a 20 percent chance of rain throughout the day. There is a chance of isolated showers near the coast and moving east toward the Interstate 75 corridor, forecasters said.
Overnight temperatures will drop to the mid 70s with partly cloudy skies, warm and muggy conditions.
Wednesday will be another hot and muggy day with increased moisture that may lead to a few more isolated or scattered showers, forecasters said. The chance of rain increases to 30 percent, with afternoon highs settling around the low 90s under partly cloudy skies and muggy conditions.
An area of high pressure will move across southern Florida by the second half of the week, driving scattered showers and isolated storms into the area. This rain becomes more likely by the afternoon. Temperatures will continue to stick around 90 with partly cloudy skies and a 40 percent chance of rain.
By Sunday or Monday, the area of pressure should lift back north, relaxing the chance of rain.
