UCF would-be shooter had alcohol in system
ORLANDO — An autopsy report says the former college student behind an aborted attack plot at the University of Central Florida was intoxicated at the time he committed suicide. The autopsy report on James Seevakumaran released today shows he had alcohol intoxication in his body but was free of any illegal drugs. Investigators say Seevakumaran hatched a plan to attack classmates in his dormitory with guns and explosives last month. But the plan was thwarted when police officers responded quickly to the dorm after a roommate called 911 and Seevakumaran pulled a fire alarm in an effort to flush out potential victims.Seevakumaran instead shot and killed himself in his dorm room.
