Troopers: Wesley Chapel man died after leaving crash
A man died after fleeing an accident scene in Zephyrhills early this morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. At approximately 12:20 a.m., Terry Carver, 53, of Wesley Chapel, backed his Ford pickup truck into a parked Dodge Durango at the Cumberland Farms store at 34434 State Road 54, troopers said. Carver then drove away from the scene, troopers said. A short time later, Carver was pulled over by a Pasco County sheriff's deputy, on State Road 56, west of State Road 581.Carver, who was suffering a medical emergency at the time of the stop, was taken to Wesley Chapel Hospital where he later died. The Highway Patrol is asking that anyone who witnessed the crash to contact them by calling (813) 631-4020, or by sending an email to email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org.
