Troopers: Wesley Chapel man died after leaving crash
A man died after fleeing an accident scene in Zephyrhills early this morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. At approximately 12:20 a.m., Terry Carver, 53, of Wesley Chapel, backed his Ford pickup truck into a parked Dodge Durango at the Cumberland Farms store at 34434 State Road 54, troopers said. Carver then drove away from the scene, troopers said. A short time later, Carver was pulled over by a Pasco County sheriff's deputy, on State Road 56, west of State Road 581.Carver, who was suffering a medical emergency at the time of the stop, was taken to Wesley Chapel Hospital where he later died.
