PAC offers unique gift idea

Just in time for the holiday season, The Performing Arts Company of Sun City Center is selling gift certificates to please the theater-goers on your gift list. Each $10 gift certificate may be exchanged for a ticket to any upcoming PAC show at the Rollins Theater. They are available at the Atrium Kiosk Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to noon or by credit card at (813) 400-7803.

United Methodist Church supports charity

“Doing The Most Good” is the Salvation Army’s promise to the community and all who are served by the nonprofit group. So the United Methodist Church chose the charity as its December Mission of the Month, and congregation members filled more than 400 stockings and committed to “ring the bell” at Publix in memory of congregant Sala Halm’s dedicated support of the organization.

Ohio Club hosts social

More than 100 area residents enjoyed watching the Ohio State Buckeyes take on the University of Michigan Wolverines Nov. 30. A great time was had cheering on our team with a little wagering, a lot of pizza and social time with our Ohio neighbors living in the area.

The Ohio Club typically has four or five events each year. The cost to join is $12 for a lifetime membership, which includes a name badge. For more information, contact Jim Rottman at (813) 634-7770 or [email protected]

The next event is the 2014 Kickoff Party to be held in the Florida Room on Jan. 17. Peck’s will provide a chicken dinner, and the entertainment will be well-known, local poet and musician John Foster. Doors open at 5 p.m. The cost for this event is $12 per person. Reservations must be made by Jan. 13. Make checks payable to the Ohio Club and mail or deliver them to 1954 Wolf Laurel Drive, Sun City Center 33573.
