PORT CHARLOTTE – The Tampa Bay Rays announced Thursday four acts as part of the Summer Concert Series – Weezer, The O'Jays, Imagination Movers and, of course, The Wiggles, which is making its third appearance at Tropicana Field.
The concerts are free with a purchase of a game ticket.
Weezer will perform June 7 after the Rays-Seattle Mariners game. The Los Angeles rock band is best known for their hits, “Island in the Sun,” “Say it Ain't So,” “Beverly Hills,” and “Undone – The Sweater Song.”
Rays fans can get on “The Love Train” with the O'Jays after the June 21 game against Houston. One the top R&B groups of all time and a member of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, the O'Jays recorded 10 No. 1 hits, including “Back Stabbers,” “For the Love of Money” and “I Love Music.”
The Imagination Movers, back for their second consecutive year, will celebrate Christmas in July after the July 27 game against Toronto. The Emmy-winning group will entertain children and their parents with songs about healthy snacks, playing catch and conquering childhood fears of bedtime.
The Wiggles are a Trop favorite with their “kid-errific work.” They will play after the Sept. 7 game against Baltimore. This year The Wiggles feature a new lineup of singers, but their legion of fans have embraced them with open arms and dancing feet.
