Rays-Red Sox game rained out
BOSTON - Tonight’s Tampa Bay Rays-Boston Red Sox game has been rained out. No official word yet for a makeup, but it could be June 17, which is the day before the Rays and Red Sox begin a two-game series at Fenway Park. The Rays have juggled the pitching rotation for the remainder of this series. David Price will pitch Saturday as scheduled, when the Rays and Red Sox play on the Fox national game of the week.Alex Cobb, who was scheduled to pitch tonight, has been pushed back to Sunday afternoon. Jeremy Hellickson, Sunday’s scheduled starter, will now pitch Monday’s game, which has an 11 a.m. Patriots Day start time. The Red Sox will remain in rotation with Jon Lester facing Price on Saturday and Clay Buchholz and Ryan Dempster pitching the final two games as planned.
