Tuesday’s Prep notes: Six from Berkeley to sign scholarships

Six athletes from Berkeley Prep will sign national letters-of-intent today at 12:45 p.m. in the school's Straz Family Field House. Chris Erdmier (baseball, Sewanee); Hilleary Gramling (cross country and track and field, Emory University); Francis Migliore (rowing, Colgate University); Samantha Moench, (volleyball, Washington and Lee University); Morgan Orobello (soccer, Georgia); Georgette Price (cross country and track and field, University of Hartford). Berkeley senior Caroline Willis will sign a national letter-of-intent to compete in rowing for Duke University at a later date. In other recruiting news, Armwood senior Antonio McCullough has committed to Bethel University, a Division III school.
Basketball Several boys and girls players from Hillsborough and Pasco counties were selected to the Florida Association of Basketball Coaches All-State team. Girls: Class 2A: Andrea Mauger, Academy at the Lakes; Tatiana Manuel, Academy at the Lakes. 3A: Tesha Hanson, Seffner Christian; Peyton Walker, Seffner Christian; 4A: Brittany Betts, Tampa Catholic. 5A: Tiffany Echevarria, Wesley Chapel; Brianca Roberts, Pasco; Kayla Kivinski, Gulf. 7A: Faith Woodard, Freedom; Taylor Emery, Freedom; Erica Young, Tampa Bay Tech. 8A: Quatasia Fantroy, Alonso.
