SEMINOLE — The Robinson Knights used a 16-point fourth-quarter rally to defeat Osceola in a preseason tuneup.
Osceola got on the board first. With good field position they drove down a short field culminating in a 2-yard QB keeper by Ryan Allan.
But then it became the Jahrvis Davenport show. The Robinson receiver and Maryland commit took a 15-yard reverse handoff going untouched into the end zone. Then minutes later he caught a Malik Tyson (8-for14, 150 passing yards, 2 TDs) 20-yard bubble screen, and zigzagged his way for another touchdown. He finished with six catches and 130 yards.
Osceola came back with a strong running game throughout the half, capped by a Nick Gust 8-yard run up the gut to put Osceola up 14-13 at halftime.
Osceola scored the only touchdown of the third quarter as fullback Bronson Lynch (6 carries, 70 yards) took a draw handoff 20 yards up the middle, bulldozing his way to the end zone for the 21-13 lead after the 2-point conversion.
Robinson’s Anfernee Alston bulled his way up the middle with an 8-yard score and the 24-21 lead with six minutes left in the game.
