For the second straight year, the Florida Dairy Farmers’ Mr. Soccer is a local standout.
Sunlake sophomore Remi Pimm, who led the nation in scoring with a Pasco County-record 64 goals, was selected for the honor. Pimm, who also had 39 assists, helped lead the 29-2-1 Seahawks to a second consecutive Class 3A state berth.
Pimm was named the Class 3A Player of the Year last week. He also is on the Gatorade National Soccer Player of the Year Award watch list.
Last year, former Tampa Prep star Shaddy Douidar was named the state’s Mr. Soccer.
