Pasco Prep Golf: Region Tournaments

Class 3A-Region 4

BOYS: Monday, 8:30 a.m., Feather Sound Country Club, 2201 Feather Sound Drive, Clearwater

GIRLS: Monday, 9 a.m., Countryside Country Club, 3001 Countryside Blvd, Clearwater

NEED TO KNOW: Wiregrass Ranch senior Bryce Wilson advances individually after shooting an 84 last week, and the Bulls girls team will also compete on the girls side, led by the 93 Remlee Horrigan shot at districts.

Class 2A-Region 5

BOYS: Tuesday, Noon; Fox Hollow Golf Club, 10050 Robert Trent Jones Parkway, Trinity

GIRLS: Tuesday, 9 a.m.; Heritage Springs Country Club, 11345 Robert Trent Jones Pkwy, Trinity,

NEED TO KNOW: Both Mitchell boys and girls teams are hosting their respective regions and both come in as district champions. The Mustang boys will be led by Anthony Swinford, Mike Spinger, Donnie Gabrelcik and aspirations of sending their team to the state tourney. The Mustang girls have the same goal in mind and are led by Shyanne Dove, Lindsey Ritchie and MacKenzie Bennett. River Ridge boys are also competing, led by Grant Glewen and Mike Stewart, and Gulf’s boys and girls will be playing, so keep an eye on the boys’ Ryan Gibson and Jackson Raymond and the girls’ Sarah Usewick. Wesley Chapel’s boys team, led by Tyler Rover and Zach Lemmens, and Sunlake’s boys, led by Jake Roberts, will also be in the field, as will Zephyrhills’ Stephen Pollack, Pasco’s Turner Imhoff, Land O’ Lakes’ Lawrence Cai and Fivay’s Sean Fluke. Fivay’s girls team, led by Amber Mariano, returns to regions, looking for a second-straight state tourney berth, while Pasco’s Kaylee Britton and Ashtyn Schlidt and Wesley Chapel’s Dana Mumaw advanced individually. Rounding out the county’s girls’ side is Zephyrhills, led by Sydney Owens, Land O’ Lakes, led by Eden Shirmohammad, and Sunlake, led by SAC champ Kelly Harris.

Class 1A-Region 5

BOYS, GIRLS: Monday, 9 a.m., East Lake Woodlands Country Club (South Course), 1055 E Lake Woodlands Parkway, Oldsmar

NEED TO KNOW: The Saddlebrook boys team is back and stronger than ever after shooting a 279 at districts. After finishing sixth at states last season, the Spartans look in good form after 67s from Ryoto Furuya and Won Jun Lee and a 69 by Joe He. Bishop McLaughlin’s Brook Dalton returns to regions and is looking for her second-straight state tourney appearance.
