Player of the Year
Remi Pimm, Sunlake, So.
By leading not only the area, the state and the nation in scoring, Pimm became a scoring sensation in only his first year with the Seahawks, which made their second straight state tournament berth this season. Pimm had 64 goals (a Pasco County single-season record) and 39 assists in earning the Florida Dairy Farmers’ Mr. Soccer title.
Coach of the Year
Oscar Ubillus, Mitchell
Despite missing out on a district title, Mitchell earned a Class 4A region final berth where it lost to eventual state champ Melbourne. Ubillus took advantage of an experienced senior class, but also found much needed talent out of the underclassmen and ways to adjust appropriately throughout the season that helped Mitchell to a Sunshine Athletic Conference title.
