Zephyrhills' Sarah Vande Berg was a major factor for the Bulldogs. The junior won her second-straight district title at No. 1 singles and she and Sydney Owens won the No. 1 doubles title. Vande Berg and Owens qualified to play at the state meet regardless of today's outcome. Vande Berg beat Land O' Lakes' Wenyi Gu 6-1, 6-1 for the singles title. "I'm excited to be going to state and face some tough competition," Vande Berg said. "I'm relieved it's over. I'm excited because I won. There was pain (she was icing her right elbow), but you have to work through it. I think I could have played all day."
